Redirect URL with the QlikView Webserver 9

The Built-in webserver in QlikView 9 can be used for redirections of url's. This example will show how you access the accesspoint by just typing in the hostname for the server and nothing else. The QlikView Webserver will now show the "Accesspoint"-content also on the "root" (hostname/)

The Built-in webserver in QlikView 9 can be used for redirections of url's. This example will show how you access the accesspoint by just typing in the hostname for the server and nothing else. The QlikView Webserver will now show the "Accesspoint"-content also on the "root" (hostname/)

You can also use this for improving migration from 8.5, by redirecting /accesspoint to /qlikview.

Find and Edit the following file:

%allusersprofile%\Application Data\QlikTech\QvWebServer\config.xml

Add

<Folder>
<Name></Name>
<Path>C:\Program Files\QlikView\Web</Path>
</Folder>

above of:

<Folder>
<Name>QLIKVIEW</Name>
<Path>C:\Program Files\QlikView\Web</Path>
</Folder>

It is needed to restart the "QlikView WebServer"-process before the changes take effect.

This means that http://hostname/ will show the same content as http://hostname/qlikview/

If you want to create additional re-directions do something like this

<Folder>
<Name>your_url</Name>
<Path>C:\your_files_folder</Path>
</Folder>

Hope this can be of some help for some QlikView developers out there! /Fredrik
